BOLD JOURNEY
Samantha, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I believe we as humans are always evolving and growing. I have had many “purposes” in my life and I trust that I will have many more. I have been through the gambit of being stuck in my head and asking “What am I here for?”, “What should I be doing with my life?”, “Do I still want what I’ve worked so hard for?”.
THE COLLECTIVE
What inspires you about making movies?
The way they make me feel. I love coming out of a movie after it made me laugh or it made me cry. I always appreciate the movies and shows that do that for me, so that's what I want to do for other people.
VOYAGE LA
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Living in LA is never a smooth road for anyone unless you are one of the magical few who move here and “make it” within a few weeks. Everything takes a lot longer than you would hope it would, but in the end I wouldn’t wish for anything different. My years spent here have allowed me to fall in love with the city and industry. And with any love, it has its rough stretches of times as well as the amazing moments you cherish forever. If you give this city and the people enough time, grit and passion you will make it. Maybe not in the way you were envisioning when you first arrived, but something way better!
